A good way to study for exams.
Policies
-
Do your homework.
The way to learn general chemistry is to do lots,
lots of homework problems. Reading the book is all well and good,
but the simple fact is, your exams are going to look lie homework problems.
You are ready for an exam only if you can work all the assigned problems
without help from the book or friends. If you can't do this, you
don't really understand the material.
-
Exam Policies:
You must have a passing exam average on the three
exams in order to pass the course.
-
Lab Policies:
You must complete all of the laboratory experiments
to pass the course. If you fail the course, you must retake the lab.
Lab conflicts or problems should be taken to your TA or lab supervisor.
-
In the event of a severe illness or family emergency:
Please contact us in any way possible; e-mail
is best, so we have your name and written information. Voice mail
is OK too or send a friend. We will help you in every way possible
to catch up with material missed.
-
Academic Honesty:
You will abide by the academic honesty policy
of the campus. We expect you to do your own work on exams and labs.
You mush flush all calculator memories of any chemistry information before
coming to an exam. You MAY NOT bring any additional materials to
exams other than a pencil, calculator, and your brain. We take honesty
very seriously.
